The Blockchain Skills for Europe Alliance (CHAISE) invites organisations to support the project goals and outcomes via a Statement of Support.


What is the purpose of the Statement of Support?

The current Statement of Support calls on Blockchain stakeholders from across Europe, such as IT companies, sector representatives, policy actors, social partners, standardization organisations, national qualification agencies, VET and HE institutions, trainers/mentors, and field experts to:

  • acknowledge the emerging occupational profiles in the Blockchain field and the defined skills and knowledge requirements, and
  • contribute to the advancement of the project’s objectives to reinforce education in digital competences, based on the principles of common interest, reciprocity, and complementarity.

The Blockchain Occupational Profiles defined by CHAISE

CHAISE implemented a comprehensive and novel analysis to demarcate the Blockchain sector, and define Blockchain skills requirements, supply, and mismatches. This analysis showed the emergence of three new roles (profiles) in the European Blockchain field: DESARROLLADOR BLOCKCHAIN, Arquitecto Blockchain, and BLOCKCHAIN MANAGER.

El Blockchain Architect diseña la arquitectura de múltiples niveles de un gran sistema Blockchain y un panorama de software y garantiza la coherencia de todos los aspectos de un proyecto como un sistema integrado. Además, blockchain Architect garantiza la calidad técnica general de la aplicación blockchain. El puesto de trabajo requiere una fuerte perspectiva micro y macro. Tiene un fuerte enfoque en el desarrollo de proyectos creativos en el diseño de productos y casos de uso, incluida la concepción y diseño de soluciones Blockchain. El Blockchain Architect es comparable al papel del arquitecto de soluciones. Son arquitectos de sistemas TIC especializados en soluciones basadas en blockchain. El Blockchain Manager lidera grupos de desarrolladores y arquitectos. El Blockchain Manager rastrea el progreso de la implementación y mantiene una estrecha cooperación con gerentes comerciales o profesionales de marketing para identificar los requisitos del mercado para nuevos sistemas y aplicaciones Blockchain. Esta función monitorea la calidad del proceso para garantizar que los productos cumplan con sus objetivos técnicos y comerciales, incluida la reflexión ética de posibles áreas de aplicación de la tecnología. Incluye la comunicación con otras partes interesadas, como gerentes de departamento y profesionales de marketing. The CHAISE Blockchain VET Programme

The CHAISE partnership has designed a VET curriculum to fill in the gap in the supply and quality of existing formal and non-formal training for the emerging blockchain roles. Further, the curriculum addresses the evolving labour market needs and skills requirements, resulting from the increasing adoption of blockchain use cases across all economic sectors.

The CHAISE VET curriculum comprises modules that are common to the three blockchain roles (Developer, Architect and Manager) in the first year of education, and specialisation learning pathways for each of them after the second year of education. The programme has a 5-semester duration and corresponds to EQF 5.
